All For A Great Cause
On October 10, 2011, Steve Harwell attempted to eat 24 eggs as challenged by @Fart with the help of celebrity chef Guy Fieri. At the end of the day, he was unable to eat ALL the eggs but with some help from his fans they managed to put them all away. Thanks to all who participated and donated to St. Jude's for this great cause. $15,000 was raised. After all, it is all about raising money for the kids.

See what the press is saying about our Egg Challenge. You gotta see this!

EGG CHALLENGE?
We're not sure how or why but some of our fans decided that it would be a good idea if Steve ate 24 Eggs for a charitable donation. After hundreds of facebook comments and tweets we have decided to accept the challenge. We have set up a Cause page on Facebook benefiting St. Judes Children's Research Hospital and set a goal of $10,000. Of course we would like to raise as much money as possible, but at 10K Steve will consume 24 Eggs on camera and post to our YouTube Channel... So please donate and spread the word.

A Stylin' Thank You
Our friend Kurt Steinmetz from Black Flys came out to the San Bernadino show and hooked us all up with sunglasses. Black Flys takes care of us big time! Kurt is also a photographer and shot the show for us. The photo on our home page of Steve in the "On Tour All Summer" ad was taken by Kurt - and of course Steve is sporting his Black Flys No. 5's.

Back from Iraq
Smash Mouth spent most of the month of February 2011 over seas performing for our troops. It was an experience we will never forget says Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell, one of the best things we've ever done! The band performed at military bases throughout Iraq and Kuwait and can't wait to do it again!

We LOVE to play live and our fans feel it...
Sunday, March 6, 2011

Just a brief note, and a word of Thanks for last night's super-successful Smash Mouth engagement in Syracuse at Turning Stone Resort &Casino for the good folks at SRC who headlined their 2011 private party and Fortune 100 celebration with an event-closing performance by the amazing Smash Mouth.

Bottom Line: The band was absolutely phenomenal and the clients love it.

Beyond that, front man extraordinaire and lead vocalist Steve Harwell and his more than capable and energetic band mates (Randy Cooke on drums is an absolute killer drummer / showman nonpareil btw) The guys were having an absolute great time on stage and it was infectious and contagious.

And as we all know, if a band doesn't want to play private parties like this, it shows, but they were really into it from the first note, and they were engaging, got the audience participating, interacting, on stage,....in short , it was a great night and these guys are pros who really know how to work a corporate event and party like nobody's business. Their frequent nods to the CEO and employees worked to perfection.

And it wasn't just on stage. They did a great meet & greet with the CEO and corporate VIP's before the show, signed posters and set lists, and did photo opps with SRC bigwigs, and throughout that process, they enjoyed themselves and in the process they made others feel comfortable and valued.

This is a great band for corporate outings gentlemen. One we'd work with again and one we'd highly recommend to any other potential client. They're first rate, they're gentlemen, and above all a tight knit band of great musicians and solid professionals in every sense. Their tour manager and (awesome) production manager are also first rate. So our thanks also goes out to TM Eric Newstrand for pulling it all together with our production and event management team on this end. Eric did a terrific job on very short notice and we're all very grateful.

Thanks for a great night. We enjoyed working with you, And thanks for coming through and coming to the rescue on short notice. CAA is tops in our book and you really saved the day!

Please give Steve and Randy and Eric and the rest of the cats in the band our very best. And let them know folks are buzzing about their 'performance.'

Warmest regards,

Frank Malfitano

SNL: Jennifer Lopez and the Smash Mouth sketch
By Kathy Bushouse
March 1, 2010 05:03 PM

This was my favorite sketch by far from the Jennifer Lopez-hosted Saturday Night Live. And, oddly, it was not posted on Hulu or the NBC site.

Best line: "They're just some positive guys from San Jose who are trying to have some fun."
