2020 got off to exciting and unprecedented start for the creators of “All-Star”.

As though shot from a cannon, venerable California multi-platinum pop-rockers Smash Mouth launched 2020 in grand fashion and stellar form with a massively successful tour of New Zealand during the last half of January.

Unveiling an explosive new show for a roaring new decade, Smash Mouth was clearly the critical and popular favorite throughout a Down Under crusade featuring several other top-tier, international superstars. Even more impressive, Smash Mouth emerged decisive champions of a tour that drew no less than 20,000 people for each concert.

Returning home at the beginning of February, the Grammy-nominated, west coast hit-makers continued this freshly-fashioned and stride-hitting juggernaut stateside.

That is...until mid-March.

When Smash Mouth...along with the rest of the world...was abruptly blindsided and sidelined by the Coronavirus.

Yet throughout this frightening and unprecedented global halt, Smash Mouth retains a unitedly positive attitude and outlook for the second half of 2020.

“Playing in Smash Mouth is like owning the world’s best kite” says long-time SM keyboardist Mike Klooster. “You just wanna take it out and fly it everyday. I hope we start back up soon”.

So what makes a Smash Mouth concert so great..?

Why does Smash Mouth always seem to have the most exciting show..?

Several reasons.

First of all, the band’s unparalleled wealth of original and legendary material is strong and deep. Smash Mouth boasts five chart-topping smash hits:

1997’s “Walkin’ On The Sun”; 1998’s “Can’t Get Enough Of You Baby”; 1999’s “All-Star” and “Then The Morning Comes”; and 2001’s “I’m A Believer” are all firmly entrenched in the culture lexicon. Then there’s 2001’s “Pacific Coast Party” and 1997’s “Why Can’t We Be Friends?”...both of which made the top-30.

Combine these with the myriad SM songs that have been prominently featured in movies and on television over the years, and you’ve got a non-stop barrage of greatest hits. A show every audience wants. Quite simply...Smash Mouth not only has the best songs, they have a lot of them.

What’s more, these songs are ignited and maximized onstage every night by the fiery, world-class musicianship of the band. A group so seasoned and tight, they seem to communicate telepathically. Flanking iconic frontman Steve Harwell, the band includes SM veterans Sean Hurwitz (guitar); Randy Cooke (drums); Mike Klooster (keyboards); and co-founding bassist/singer Paul DeLisle.

But the best thing about a Smash Mouth show is it’s unequaled, across-the-board, universal appeal. More than any other band, Smash Mouth is internationally loved by people of all ages and tastes. The band’s clean and irresistibly catchy songs are delivered with such joy and finesse, Smash Mouth is appropriate for literally any event. Loved globally for it’s fun and positive message, Smash Mouth music is also nearly impossible NOT to dance to.

2020 will also see the summer release of Smash Mouth’s jumpin’ new single “Out Of Control”. A song the entire organization is very excited about!

Despite this unprecedented and unforeseen 2020 industry shutdown, Smash Mouth is chomping at the bit to continue their joyously delightful campaign in the second half of the year. Because, c’mon...you know it’s true...

The music is simply irresistible.
